AMIT OM
Amit Om is a devotional singer and teacher based in Rishikesh. His path combines over two decades of music, mantra, and meditation, experienced in kirtan and traditional Indian bhajans.
He created this harmonium after years of teaching students who struggled to find a travel-friendly model that is of good quality and budget friendly.
WHY I CREATED THIS HARMONIUM
The thought of making and selling this harmonium is a blessing of my lord Shiva.
Over the years i saw that most of my students in Rishikesh wanted to buy a harmonium that is lightweight and travel friendly in airports. When they were buying they were facing weight problem (too heavy) and shipping problem (it was too heavy to take as a hand luggage, so they had to ship 11-12 kg harmoniums). Also many harmoniums did not have a pleasant colour and design. That is why I created this lightweight travel harmonium in 7 kg, together with a local luthier from Rishikesh.
I know that in future this project will evolve.

Design options
The harmonium may come with small design differences, depending on what’s available from the workshop at the time of your order.
There are usually two types of variation:
•With or without a carved ॐ (Om) symbol on the front panel
•With or without a top lid — the lid offers extra protection for the harmonium but adds a bit of weight. The choice depends on your preference for portability or protection.
If you have a preference, you can mention it when placing your order. Availability may vary depending on current stock from the luthier. In some cases, design differences may involve a small price difference.

If you’d like to learn harmonium, bhajans, or deepen your devotional music practice, Amit offers online 1:1 classes for students of all levels.
Sessions are personalised and can focus on:
• Harmonium technique
• Voice training for kirtan and bhajan
• Rhythm, breath and devotional presence in music
Classes are taught in English and take place over Zoom or WhatsApp video. Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your practice, you can study directly with Amit, from anywhere in the world.
Shipping & Ordering
The harmonium can be shipped both within India and internationally.
Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and the final packed weight (approx. 9–10 kg).
Delivery within India is typically faster and more affordable. International delivery usually takes 3 to 4 weeks.
If you’re currently in Rishikesh, local delivery can often be arranged. While Amit is no longer based there full-time, he can usually coordinate with someone locally to help you receive the instrument.
